Fall and Halloween Festivities at The Rostie Group

Fall and Halloween Festivities at The Rostie Group

Fall has officially arrived at The Rostie Group, bringing warm colours, creativity, and Halloween spirit to both of our workspaces. Both our locations, WaterPark Place and Queen’s Quay Terminal, got into the seasonal fun with festive decorations, followed by Halloween celebrations filled with costumes, competitions, music, festive drinks and food.

At The Rostie Group, we love embracing the changing seasons and bringing festive spirit into our workspaces. This fall, both our WaterPark Place and Queen’s Quay Terminal centres were decorated with seasonal touches, adding warmth, colour and festivity. We kicked off the season with Thanksgiving-inspired decorations. Hay bales, scarecrows, wicker baskets, colourful chrysanthemums, and other festive touches that celebrated the beauty of fall. We believe that celebrating the seasons is a great way to make our spaces welcoming and full of personality; creating an environment that members and visitors can enjoy throughout the workday.

Then Halloween came around, where we added spooky decorations throughout our centres. Pumpkins, spiders, cobwebs, and witch hats were dotted around to create that spooky feeling we all enjoy at the end of each October!

The celebrations were in full swing at our annual Halloween Party yesterday, bringing office tenants, virtual clients, and our staff together for an afternoon of spooky fun! With costumes, music, delicious snacks and refreshing drinks, there was no shortage of Halloween fun! The party was a great opportunity to take a break from the usual workday, connect with the Rostie Group community, and enjoy the Halloween festivities together!

WaterPark Place Halloween Party

Queen's Quay Terminal Halloween Party

We had our very own Pumpkin Decorating Competitions running at both locations throughout the week, in which our tenants could only use items in their office to decorate their pumpkins. So many office teams got involved, using paperclips, pipe cleaners, candy canes and golf balls, to name a few materials! The creativity was extraordinary, and we loved to see the final results when tenants brought their finished pumpkins to the reception desks. Halloween party attendees then cast votes for their favourites. Congratulations to the winners, the Rayside Harlapa Professional Team at WaterPark Place, and the Northpine Foundation team at Queen’s Quay Terminal, and thank you to all who participated, it really got everyone into the Halloween spirit!

We also had a Guess-the-Candies-in-the-Jar competition running through the week of Halloween at both WaterPark Place and Queen’s Quay Terminal, and various techniques were witnessed! Some tenants simply held the jar and guessed based on a feeling, while others counted the candies on the base and up the side, and performed a mathematical equation. We had various guesses, ranging from 87 to 257, and you guessed it… the answer laid somewhere in between! There were 133 candies in the jar at Queen’s Quay Terminal, and 134 at WaterPark Place. Medteris at WaterPark Place and Labatt Breweries of Canada at Queen’s Quay Terminal came out on top! A big thank you to all who got involved, and also to our Hospitality Manager, Jennifer Matos, for being the person tasked with counting all the candies!!!

Along with the competitions running throughout the week, we had a Halloween Brain Teaser activity at both our Halloween parties. Tenants had to solve tricky Halloween-related puzzles, and the first to complete the task was rewarded with a prize. After some head scratching and team collaboration, Digital Tax CPA at WaterPark Place, and John Maynard from EcoOnline at Queen’s Quay Terminal, were the speediest, and were rewarded for their efforts!

We love to embrace the seasons here at The Rostie Group, and seasonal decorations, competitions, and events create opportunities to connect beyond everyday work. We would like to take the time to thank our wonderful Rostie Group community for their participation, costumes, and bright energy that fill both of our centres. That is the beauty of a coworking space, it brings people together, and creates opportunities to connect, build relationships, and share memorable experiences beyond the everyday work routine.

It has been wonderful to see our community embrace everything this time of year has to offer. The shared moments are what make our workspace so much more than just a place to work. We hope everyone enjoys all that this season brings, and has a fantastic Halloween filled with plenty of treats, laughter, and fun!

Until next Halloween!
